Primarily in the categories of classic rock, new wave, punk, and post-punk, underground, heavy metal, hip-hop, classic soul, R&B, blues, reggae, 20th century composers, electronica, classic country, and modern jazz. We buy large collections as well: from collectors, from estates, from radio stations, disc jockeys, record reviewers, from stores that have closed, and from people who for one reason or another just need to downsize or let go of their collections. Books we want: We're especially looking for: current and very recent literary and non-fiction best-sellers (less than one year old), philosophy, recent art and architecture books in great condition only, graphic novels, chess books and more. scholarly books in all fields, textbooks in current use, counter-cultural authors, Judaica -especially recent English language Orthodox books by publishers like Artscroll and Feldheim, All books should be intact, free of markings, dirt, discolorations and stains, odors, dog-earring, and rips. We generally prefer not to buy old textbooks, ex-library books, novelty books, encyclopedias, almanacs, popular fiction hardcovers more than two years old, old Reader's Digest condensed books, or anything marred or stinky. Basically, we most like to buy the books that most people like to hold onto for themselves. Due to the limited size of our stores, we regrettably cannot take everything that we are brought. |
